Amica Whincop has become internationally known for her unique isolated abstract shapes which recall the Japanese concept of Ma, meaning interval or the space between. Her work evokes the unbridled forms of the Australian landscapes, coastline, and inland waterways, and encapsulated the unpredictable beauty of colour, form and texture.
